Why get feedback from our IELTS examiners?
Most people think they can improve their writing skills for IELTS on their own by writing many essays and practising a lot.
This is because achieving high scores in other test components is significantly easier, which often makes them falsely believe they will likely attain a similar band score in IELTS writing as well.
A quick insight into the IELTS test taker performance data shows that writing is the most difficult part of the IELTS test and poor performance in writing is also the main cause for students to retake the test.
The average score that people receive in the IELTS writing test, based on
IELTS.org, is as low as 5.7. However, most people need a score of at least 6.5 or 7.
In order to achieve a high score, it is not a bad idea to practise as much as you can.
However, without receiving feedback from qualified IELTS examiners or teachers on a regular basis, it is just rarely enough.
Understandably, without feedback it is hard to improve since you will not get to know your mistakes and the areas which cause you to lose points.
How our IELTS examiners can help you
In the IELTS test, your writing tasks will be assessed on the four marking criteria:
Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy, and each criterion is worth 25% of your total score!
Without a clear understanding of how you should write to attain a high score in each assessment criterion, it might be hard to meet your goals.
Our IELTS examiners are trained to accurately evaluate these writing tasks and can therefore provide valuable feedback and pinpoint your mistakes
to help you most efficiently improve your writing skills for the test,
which will ultimately make a higher IELTS band score easier to achieve.
It makes better sense to pay for assistance by an IELTS examiner instead of spending your money on a second or third test.
Of our students who need to achieve a score of at least 7.0 in IELTS writing, do not meet the required score in their first assessment.
If they had taken the test, 3 in 4 people would have failed! Moreover, they would have been left with no clue why they did not reach their target score.
This is because taking the exam gives you nothing but a plain band score that carries absolutely no weight regarding feedback.
We advise you not to risk taking the test before you get feedback from a qualified IELTS examiner!
If you are required to attain a certain minimum IELTS band score in writing, it is better to have your writing reviewed and learn from your mistakes in order to achieve your goals on the first try.
